Slow, methodical, and applied where you're actually tight — not where it's loudest. Deep tissue at Lymphyx is closer to clinical bodywork than spa massage. Performed by a therapist trained at the same level as our post-op staff.
Most "deep tissue" in this neighborhood is fast, loud, and rough. Ours is the opposite. Slower pressure reaches deeper tissue without injury.
01
Resolves Chronic PatternsLong-held tension in the neck, shoulders, and lower back responds to slow, sustained pressure — not aggressive thumping.
02
Targeted, Not GeneralizedWe work the actual restriction, not the whole body indiscriminately. Most clients leave with measurable range-of-motion improvement.
03
Athletic RecoveryCompatible with training schedules. Many runners and cyclists book weekly during build phases.
04
No Percussion GunsHands and forearms only. We have not found a device that outperforms manual work on dense tissue.
05
Stacks With LymphaticMany clients alternate weekly between deep tissue and lymphatic — the combination handles tension and recovery in equal measure.

Common Questions
Deep Tissue, Answered
The tempo. Most LA deep tissue is fast and aggressive. Ours is slow and sustained — which reaches deeper without injury or bruising.
Some clients are; many aren't. If we worked a particularly stuck area, expect 24 – 48 hours of mild soreness, like after a workout.
60 if you have one or two specific zones. 90 if you want full-body or have multiple chronic areas.
Not in the surgical zones. Deep tissue resumes globally at week 12+ with surgeon clearance.

Fourteen-year licensed massage therapist specializing in post-operative lymphatic massage. Compression expert serving Beverly Hills since 2018.
"Such a great experience I had at Lymphyx! Juanita’s deep tissue massage and cupping technique were truly difference makers in alleviating some recurring back and neck issues I’ve dealt with for a long time. Plus, the facility is such a warm and comfortable place to visit. It’ll be a regular stop for me, and I can’t recommend it highly enough."
